The game goes live on March 1st, but if you pre-ordered you get a "Head Start" in which case you've been playing since the 24th. I won't be creating the in game guild until it goes live however just because it's a rather fickle population out there at the moment so we'll wait for more people to get the game.
I would urge everyone to give it a shot but at the same time there is currently no free trial.
I'll post an info thread in the coming days.

I've been craving an mmorpg lately. I'd like to try the game before I buy it though. Is there a subscription?

First 30 days are free however.

...but if you're really set on an MMO, Lord of the Rings Online is free to play.

Absolutely lol. I've cut back recently though to attempt to save money.

Sorry saving for a much better imminent game called Guild Wars 2, besides no time for a different mmo and one that really isnt all that great IMO
