But yeah. They've said it will hit the 360. Seriously though. You look through the resumes of the team on Hellgate London, and almost ALL of them worked on Diablo and Diablo2. It's pretty crazy, but sweet. |

Nice, should have some solid gameplay then. I looked around a little bit for a release date, didn't find one... is it coming soon? I just got a 360 actually, just finished up Gears and CoD3, solid single player games, both are short, but very well done. I didn't realize there was this elite edition coming out. I literally bought my 360 1 week before this 'elite' was launched. Oh well, as far as I can tell, no big diff, just a much larger HD and 1080p capability, nothing major at all.

As for the differences in your 360 and an Elite, yours does 1080p just fine. You just need a VGA cord instead of component. I have one, works great. The only differences are the color(elite is black), 100gb more HDD space(not a big deal for most people), and HDMI output(is it THAT much better than component or VGA? Somewhat, but not really). I'd almost buy one just cause it's black though, lol. I plan on modding my 360 when its warranty is up though. They have some sick sick cases for 360s you can buy, and you can get cheap HDD upgrades, and everything in the mod community. So later this year i'll go that route. If I didn't have a 360 already though, I'd probably buy an Elite, just cause they're so pretty. Back on Hellgate London though. It's been in developement since 2003, when Blizzard North disbanded and all these guys quit Blizzard. It should have some very solid gameplay, that is very refined. I'm looking forward to it. |
Nice, I was actually playing WoW for the first time a few weeks ago, put about a month in. Pretty fun game, but holy crap, these MMORPGs rape your day, I only got to a 34 rogue, and all your free time is gone, so I gave it up! I have to say WoW is one of the most complete games in every single aspect I've ever played. These guys are from blizzard as well, and probably have taken notice to why WoW has been so successful and probably have implemented similar things in this hellgate game. The FPS is a nice twist, I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'm really looking forward to halo 3 tho, I've always been a huuuge halo fan.

Anyway. They say hellgate london plays like an Action RPG, like Diablo2, just in a different view. Once you play it, they say it starts to feel very familiar. There is a class, the Hunter Marksmen, who are like an FPS in many ways. Where actual aiming and clicking with your mouse is imortant like in all FPS, but all other classes play differently, and are nothing like an FPS except for the camera view(which can also be in 3rd person). This one guy who played it, said that, Deus Ex was from FPS to RPG, as Hellgate: London is from RPG to FPS. If you've played Deus Ex, that should make sense. |
