I just couldn't get in to dot hack. FFXII though i picked up at midnight release, played til 6 am, then slept and woke up at 10am to release it at my store. Then played all day when i got home. I'm happy with it so far.

More like the game was just a bonus.

The game is pretty good so far. You start out as a character who is Level 133, but you get Data Drained by the an AI named Tri-Edge. This reformats your computer and you have to start over at level one. Its kind of funny because the main character had this reputation for being "The Terror of Death", because he would go around killing Player Killers (people who level up and kill other players in "The World" for sport, and his nickname was "The PKK"), and in the beginning of the game, everyone you walk by in "The World" is scared shit less of you. After this, everyone you come across calls you a noob (Literally, remember that .hack is about a fake MMORPG).

I just finished .hack//GU Vol 1. Damn, that was a fucking awesome game. Much, much better than the last series in terms of pretty much everything (the combat system, the story). I cant wait for Vol 2, which is titled ".hack//G.U. Vol 2: A Voice That Reminds Me of You". And from what I have read so far, the story is only going to get more and more interesting.

But that is a few months off. For now, it is time to dive headfirst into FFXII!

I am an hour into FFXII, and can honestly say I have no fucking clue what is going on. I need to go to bed though, so no more for tonight.

Yeah, I still havent played it since last night, but so far the thing that is throwing me off is the new battle system. I like it and everything, I am just not used to it. It is very MMO like in structure.

the new battle system isnt really that different... I mean its still pretty much turn based you have to wait on your meter. Even if you flee the little shits still follow you. The gambit feature is pretty cool though.

So are combo attacks random? Same goes with blocking attacks.

combo attacks I dunno. Blocking is random (probably based on some stat), but with a sheild I block a lot more often than without it.

any of the admins/mods can attest to this being the first time i have acted like this in a long while on this forum. shifty decided to start flinging mud with no rhyme or reason, and I fought back. as far as I am concerned, you can ban Shifty permanently. if you would like those rules enforced, you will be banned as well for your comments in this thread. However you took his first comment, yours were not acceptable in any terms. There is a report button next to every post, and us admins read or pms, if you have problems with someone there are methods to get them resolved without name calling. If you want to sling shit back and lower yourself to his level, do not come back with an arguement trying to justify acting like a forum troll just defend your self/pride/whatever.
