Grand Theft Auto IV
 

Best game to come out in a while. If you dont have it yet, I highly recommend you buy it. For those of you who I have seen on live, lets get some games going.

I've got it on live, but I haven't done multiplayer yet. Trying to get a feel for the game first.

It's a very awesome game indeed, I broke down and bought it the day it came out when I went to target to buy food.

I've only played it sparingly because I have to bust my nuts for a bunch of finals and here at Iowa we don't have a dead week so I basically have classes up until 2 days before finals begin = new material on top of most classes being cumulative....

I've barely gotten past the point where shit goes down with Vlad (not to air in spoilers for those who don't have it yet)

I think it's ridiculously awesome that you fly off of cars and motorcyles and it really does take some skill to drive the car.... Also I love how Niko throws the gears so hard in the banshee that sparks come of the transmission.

I really like the weapon mechanics in the game between auto aim and free-aim although I've been trying to find to just completely turn auto aim off because it's a pain in the ass to depress the left trigger just enough to pull out your free aim.

The ragdoll death mechanics are absolutely hilarious, there's nothing like hitting someone at full speed and watching them temporarily travel with before theier velocity decreases and they flop and roll on the ground.

Great game this is definitely Rock Star's Mona Lisa; it's going to be very difficult for them to surmount this achievement... It just gained Halo status and thus every free-roaming game type will forever be compared to GTA IV and every following GTA game will be compared against GTA IV and dubbed insufficient.... hah

i beat the game, but still only 68% complete of game total. i like some of the multiplayer aspects, like the goal oriented ones, but plain old deathmatch is boring as fuck.

I play GTA at night and I level my alts in the morning, and then do non-game stuff in the middle.

Does anyone play this online? The lobby system and actually loading is a sloppy piece of shit but the actual gameplay is money. (Xbox Live - From what I understand PSN is a lost cause for GTA IV)

Settings: Team Deathmatch
Auto Aim = Off
Weapons = Standard, All, Powerful (any)
Blips = Far (You can see people on the radar if they are out of visual range, that way you don't have to wander blind looking for people. Once you're within range they disappear from the radar)

A good friend and myself started playing online for funsies and have been dumping 5+ hours a day into team deathmatch games per day for about a week solid... Very seldom do I run into a laggy games or have to call bullshit because it doesn't appear that the host advantage is very large.

What's hilarious is you can use your cell phone in-game to call people up and taunt them amidst respawns.

The only bad thing is every noob cries for auto-aim and full radar (blips)

Sounds sick. I think I'm gonna buy it tomorrow.
