Starcraft 2 & FA *Beta has Started*

As many of you can obviously see FA has hit rock bottom in activity. A power house gaming community consisting of hundreds of members and multiple divisions ends up as a simple forum for reunions. There are many contributing factors to why we ended up like this but I wont list them here. I don't think FA can really die as long as this site is paid for and former members keep coming back to say hello and talk about old times. However, I do not think this should be our fate. We have been a gaming community for more than 10 years and I think we should continue.

This brings me to Starcraft 2. I already know many FA members new and old will be picking up a copy when the time comes. This is a perfect opportunity for a fresh start. If we cannot maintain a single division for a game that is guaranteed to sell millions of copies then we should just give up.

All division forums will be deleted or archived. This will be a fresh start so all thoughts, opinions, and suggestions are encouraged.

I'd join again for D3, but I suck too much at SC.

I will always be around and am always willing to breathe life into this clan.

I've been opted in to the SC2 beta for some time now. Hopefully I get selected to try it.

clan was built around SC and CS.. but computer games just arent what they were anymore. but, like with the old one i will play

I can pretty much assure you system specs had little to do with who got in the first wave of invites.

Guild Wars 2 wont be coming out for another year most likely but it should be good. Also for anyone that opted into the Starcraft 2 beta make sure you check your battle.net account. I don't believe they send you an email. They just sent out wave 3 yesterday, so expect a wave every week or two.

I've talked to people who've gotten emails telling them they've been excepted. I've also talked to some people who said the email came fairly late though.
And I'm still not in. :'(

Expecting GW2 open beta around november following with a holiday release, who knows about the closed beta- you gotta be tight with anet to get in that shit lol

So I dled the cracked SC2 Beta off Usenet. SC2 is just a revamped SC. It's pretty cool but I don't see what all the fuss is about.

It's very much like the original Starcraft just with some different units and a few tweaks.

that is only the beta though ice, I've been playing BW with some teamates, it still kicks ass lol

Starcraft 2 is basically the same game as the first one with better graphics and better controls. Even if you don't like to ladder, the map editor is supposed to be the best yet. I still play Warcraft 3 from time to time just because of the custom maps. Blizzard has also stated that map makers will be able to sell their maps on battlenet if they are good enough.

Im all for SC2, cant wait :)

I've been play some BW. I suck balls lol.

I wasnt impressed with the fights in the SC2 cracked beta thing.... alot like the original and not enough strategy involved. Most of the same units. Im considering not even getting it but atleast the single player should be interesting. Better graphics and new story is all it is but the multiplayer formula is very very boring in my opinion. This is coming from a hardcore RTS player as well, ive played the crap out of other rts games like AoM and Age of Empires and all the games in the Total war series (granted they're slightly different) and CnC and such. Im not exactly sure how i feel about paying out that money for a new single player experience with updated graphics (which arent even very good). Just my thoughts on the matter but im sure everyone will jump on the Starcraft and Blizzard bandwagon lol

and blizzard even took out the LAN option, then split the game into 3 copies for you to buy. GTFO lmfao

Yea I tend to agree with you. If you played the cracked beta though those computers are set to easy. You can't compare that to playing actual people. I've also been considering not buying it but I probably will regardless if not just for the Custom Maps that it will spawn.

Games now are just appetizers until SWTOR :/
