In need of some advise.
So i got my RAM and new video card in today, HOOAH right? WRONG! . As it turns out i neglected to make sure my PS could handle the extra power drain and now im paying for it. My current PS is a 250w unit, and i am looking for advice on a cheap, but good 400w-500w replacement. Can anybody share their wisdom?:)
I have a link to the product specs for my PC, the only difference is i added another 512 stick of ram to it. Clicky Clicky =) <~~~~~~~Product Specs linkz0r. Not sure what would be a good replacement PS in the 400-500 flavor. Im not looking to spend alot of money on this so dont reply with some uber 1337 PS please. Im looking to spend about $40-45 so budget is key. Also forgot to mention that my case is a Mini-ATX if that matters.... EDIT:Friend of mine pointed me in this direction, tell me what you think. Power Supply Linkz0r |
I have an Ultra 600w that I bought from MicroCenter for $20 on sale (reg $50). It isnt the prettiest power supply, but it more than gets the job done.

this is the one i got fer mine...has lots of extra cables and they are plenty long enough for anything ya might add later i.e. extra fans or whatever. works very nice for me, its really quiet, cant hear the fan going at all, even after gaming for a while the fan picks up speed to cover the extra heat but i still cant hear it running. |
Thanks for the feedback ladies. I am going with the one blood recommended just because he is 1337 like that =P. Probably wont be ordering the PSU for about 2 weeks so ill have to figure out why my ATI drivers wont install so atleast ill have something to play AA with  .

your standards for "1337ness" are very low

Yes, that's exactly what that would be... I thought I would get a bigger discount at bestbuy for that psu. I only get it for 63$ :wtf: |
