my CPU is 4200+. . .this is a very good price i think |
well that combo isn't for sale anymore. thread is a tad old, but i'll pitch in.
cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103588 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131568 ddr memory, i'm guessing you don't want to buy new ram too. i have the same mobo, but with a dual core 4400+ instead of the opty. i really really want that opty though  oc it just a little and it'll get you by a couple more years. |
that mb and proc looks like a hot lil deal..looks like ya can oc the crapoutta it too....my only question and i looked around but im at work and dont really have the time to sit and examine the pics and diagrams but will that mb support this memory, this is what i run in my puter rt now...im thinkin bout pickin up another 2 gigs...jesus the price is unbeatable.

honestly 2gb is perfectly fine. windows won't even recognize 4gb without some heavy tinkering. i'm not sure that stuff would be good for overclocking though.
edit: i just looked again at that. that's ddr2, not compatible with the mobo/cpu i listed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231047 that looks good. wish i could find my gskill, but it's hard to come by these days. edit: here's a review of my ram. http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...ll_2gb_ram.php this stuff will do 300 fsb on stock (2.6) voltages. |
