The site has moved hosts
 

Well it turns out media temple was crap. Lots of limits and things that we needed that they didnt give us, so we said goodbye.

We are now hosting the fa site from 1and1.com hosting. We have 100gigs of webspace, tons of bandwidth, and all the features we need (for cheaper than what we were getting at MT).

The forums database has been migrated over and everything should be in working order. If you find any problems list them here.

No, but in all seriousness. The .net address is temp btw. I updated the DNS settings on the .com addy and it should update any time now.

This new host is the sekz, and i've called their tech support and customer support about 4 times now, and the people seemed cool and knew wtf they were talking about. So that, along with what lhurg listed, this is seems to be a winner.

Lhurg is doing a very nice job of moving everything over without to many problems as well. ((Knock on Wood))

Seems to work great. Good job, guys. I'll post some more feedback on loadtimes, etc., once I've explored a bit more.

The site seems to be loading slower than it used to. I am pretty sure it isnt me.

For me its getting faster also when i look on this thread http://www.fallenangelsx.net/forums/...read.php?t=490 with all the pictures on, it loads verry fast

Yeah it feels a lot faster to me as well. The old one would hang, and a few people said the same thing would happen for them on the old one, but others had no hang at all. It was quite odd.

This new one owns so far.

Oh yeah, one reason it might seem slower right now, is cause your browser has to load all of the images up and cache them all over again. Where ont he old host they were all already cached and ready to go. Once everyone's sigs/avs/ and all the sites images and banners have been cached again, it should feel about the same as the old one for most people, and faster for those who were getting that hanging issue on the old host, like Ice and Myself.

Yeah as of yet there's no hanging. And also Napir those pictures are hosted on external websites so it doesn't have anything to do with the forums.

Ok Ice but 3 day's ago when i looked on that thread or a other thread i realy must wait for showing that page
And the pictures did not seem them at once only 1 for 1 verry slow.
