I really wanted a g5 because i wanted a manual trans. and it drives more sportier. but i was forced to go with the g6 because it's "safer" and it was about the same price.
it drives well, it's pretty quiet, stock speakers are nice as long as you aren't a complete audiophile. and it's pretty cheap. very reliable in my opinion..never had a problem with my grand-am that wasn't my fault.
it's kind of a pain to replace the stereo in GM car's though =/

In my first car, a 1990 Olds Delta 88 Royale, you had to essentially take the entire dash out.
My MR2's radio is easy, two screws to take the center dash out, and two bolts to hold the headunit cradle.
