theres only two good companies that make gaming mice. Razer and Logitech, The major difference is this, with Logitech you move the mouse with your palm and with Razer you move the mouse with your fingers. I prefer Razer, i use the diamondback, but Logitechs are also nice, check em both out.

I own the copperhead but i am going to upgrade to the newer version i have owned many gaming mice but i really like the razer brand both are made by logitech if i am thinking properly. I could be wrong. I would say go with the newest razer with the highest DPI and give your self time to adjust cause these mice are sensitive. They allow you to adjust stuff but why would you buy a gaming mouse to turn it down lol. anyway that's my 2 cents. Get razer and you will never go back to a regular mouse agian.

I'm using a deathadder right now.
And I love it.
Razer makes sick products. Period.

I have both a Logitech G7 and a MX Revolution. Both of which I like better than my old Razer copperhead, mostly due to the fact that they are cordless. As far a DPI I never really noticed a difference in accuracy between laser mice, other than the movement sensitivity which can be controlled on any mouse and never had a reason to control it on the fly.
The thing I think makes the biggest difference is the mouse pad surface and the mouse feet. You should have a hard smooth surface, I personally use a "Icemat" but some may not like it due to the ceramic sound it make when you move the mouse. Also use Teflon mouse feet, which most gaming mice come standard with (MX revolution doesn't though it’s also not a “gaming mouse”).

Icemat and Steel Series are sponsors of our LAN party, and they make great stuff.

I've always found logitech to be good. I use a logitech MX518 on a Steelpad QcK+
