Bout time, imo. For... forever... I've been saying that manf. are all about making money and not producing a good product. That's why you get the 6800, 6800 GS, 6800 GT, 6800 GTX, 6800 XT, 6800 GT SU... etc... Had companies forgotten about selling the shit outta silicon chips we'd all be using germainiumwhateverthefuck mixed with silicon which can stand higher speeds, etc. Giving more room for improving that and coming up with OTHER innovative ideas, like 64 core and shit that nobody *REALLY* needs.

[valid rant]ENTER MICROSOFT: bog down the OSes so you buy more PCs that are pre-loaded with ther OS. Computers that are made with parts from their partners. Parts that are sold at the big-name stores.

Also, if you think about it, what's with automobiles? I saw a special on TV (documentery) on the electric car and how it was "pushed out of the market"/"done away with" by oil companies.
