This forum was opened in 2007 and after nearly 16 years needs to be retired. The forum software is long out of date and has become progressively harder to patch in order to run on newer hosting software. I have done what I can to get the forum up in a read-only view, but posting will remain broken. A few old members still hang out on Discord if you'd like to stop by to say hello.
Thanks for the memories. -Lhurgoyf

Bought a DS yesterday
I picked up a used DS Lite and Pokemon Diamond, looking into getting an R4 card when I graduate next week. Free money is nice.

It pretty much puts a microSD card slot on your DS. There's no firmware updating or anything, it's all plug and play. You pop an SD card into the R4, which plugs into the DS gameslot, and the DS reads it. On those microSD cards you can put games n shit. I have about 900 DS games, and about 40+ on my 2gb microSD card right now. I have another one with movies on it too, bunch of comedies.
R4 is just the shit, heh.

That video shows pretty much how it works. You just slide over the ROM files onto your microSD card, nothing hard, just transfering a file you DLed onto the microSD card, then pop that microSD card into the R4, and the R4 into the DS, and click the button to play the game, heh. Doesn't get any easier than that.

I got my first one from modchipman.com for $40, then I think I paid $35 for my next 2. The 2nd and 3rd ones were for my nephew and niece.
They're not very expensive though. Price of a good game. Well worth it IMO.

They're not illegal either btw. What you do with them could be illegal, but the cards themselves are legit, and sold by legit places online.
