yes, but this would force my parents to buy me a new one, because it's their comp too.

So then why dont you just wait till your parents are gone, and put a couple drops of water in random places on the motherboard, ram slots, pci cards, the works. That will do the trick! Or, just go here, where you learn that "Static is Your Friend", how to use the "Air Force" to destroy your computer components, " Air duster is quite useful for cleaning more robust items, but can also be usefully employed in computer destruction, where it is more than capable of blowing chips out of sockets, spinning fans to prodigious speeds and destroying their tiny brushless motor assemblies, and, of course, redistributing dust from relatively accessible locations to far more exciting ones, like deep inside expansion card connectors and CD-ROM drives."

"Many PC cases are in fact very strong, and so it's necessary to balance large monitors, tabletops, grand pianos and twelve foot fireproof safes upon them to ensure rapid destruction. Fortunately, the pop-riveted construction of most cases and their poor endurance under lateral loads means that even relatively small stresses can, over time, cause sufficient structural creep to snap a solidly attached motherboard. Patience, and not buying enough chairs, can be a virtue."

Also, learn how to "Get it Wet". "Beverages like coffee, tea and (especially) cola are much more effective, and so it is important to have a tall, unstable container of one or more of these within elbowing distance of the work area. Crumbs of food can foul connectors and floppy drive moving parts, but intensive open-mouthed chewing over the computer is required for a reliable kill."

There is all sorts of useful information on this site, and, if you follow the instructions carefully, you will be in perfect shape for the need of a new computer!!

I talked to the person who I learned the tweak from.

http://www.data-backup-and-storage.c...ry-backup.html

If you go there ^ and you backup your computer nothing should go wrong.

If you already have good fps I wouldn't recommend doing the tweak but for anyone who's questionable but afraid of it messing up their copmuter, you can back up your program just in case.

why would you need to back up your install/data if it's safe?

"just in case"

oh, so something might go wrong... :P

gl when a msn msg or something interrupts calls to your hdd controller :o

EDIT: added you to xfire spin -- that is if you weren't already.
