Bought a 360

WELL heres whatsup, I called xbox, cause Its freezing everytime i play, i have it on a cardboard box, in the middle of my room, with a fan blowing down the back of it lol.

Basically, i bought it "used" since i work at gamestop, when i say used, i mean it was stolen so its practically brand new, I got a hard drive, the system, 2 games, 2 wireless controllers and chargers for 300 bucks with all my discounts.

talking to a guy at microsoft, he said the thing is still under warranty, so I'm sending it in and they are fixing it for me (the warranty ends october 15th, how lucky ;P)

So i pretty much lucked out on that, hopefully after they fix it, it will run smoothly

Sweet. They'll probably send you a brand new one. They've done that with quite a few peoples. They'll just make you send back the system without wires or HD or anything. Then they'll send you a brand new system probably, and you'll get a new HD, new control, etc, all for free(this is all maybes). Also, if after a week or two of them not sending it back yet, which is sure to happen, you call them frustrated and in many cases they'll give you a free game. Usually something like Kameo, or Perfect Dark Zero, or something.

GL man! Good thing you're doing it now so it'll be back and running for Gears of War! woot!

I have to send you guys some pictures of the big cardboard cutout im getting from my store too, probably about 5 feet high, 2 feet wide gears of war cardboard cutout, we also have a small one with the limited edition box glued in it, dont know if I'll get that one too though.

Unfortunate that your 360 is malfunctioning. Luckily the warranty was still valid.
I got a first-batch 360 and up til now I had no malfunctions (yet)

I hope it stays that way.

yeah, sucked cause i've been itching to play it, but i should get it back either this week or next, still trying to get pictures of this display though haha.

I haven't had any problems, sorry to hear that that is happening to you. Things I can recommend is standing it up vertical (helps with airflow), or buying one of those fan stands, mine works like a charm! :) Hope this helps.

I'm actually getting an intercool, i've heard some negative stuff about the fan stands.
